What is some great jazz music?

I want to listen some good jazz music but i don’t know where to start. I like the more mellow stuff, like I love Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue…but i want to explore new music. So what are some good, mellow, jazz albums?

One of my favorite slow pieces is on the “best of Coltrane” Album I have. It is originally off of an album that is Coltrane playing with Duke Ellington. It is a special version of “In a sentimental mood”. It is the only version of that song I like though.
