Which is the best place to settle in Canada?

I originally wanted to settle in Toronto, but I have been reading that Vancouver is a prettier place to live in but boasts of expensive living costs. Montreal on the other hand offers bountiful beauty, plenty of job opportunities, lower cost of living…How true is that? I love hearing of the snow capped mountains, lakes and rivers of Canada…music to my soul…but am apprehensive about depleting my resources trying to live the Canadian dream. Can someone please give me a breakdown of living costs in, say Toronto, Mississuaga or Montreal?
